Don’t miss plenary speakers, Yasuhiko Arakawa (University of Tokyo) and Andre Fuetsch (AT&T), on Tuesday, 22 March 2016 from 08:00 – 10:00 a.m. (Pacific Daylight Time) address “Silicon Photonics and Quantum Dot Lasers” and “The Open and Flexible Optical Revolution.”
Yasuhiko Arakawa, Director of the Institute for Nano Quantum Information and Director, Center of Photonics Electronics Convergence at the Institute of Industrial Science at University of Tokyo, will discuss optical interconnects, recent advances in silicon photonics and quantum-dot lasers and the advantages of both.
Andre Fuetsch, Senior Vice President of Architecture & Design at AT&T, will talk about AT&T’s Open ROADM initiative and how AT&T’s optical network is already changing to be flexible and software driven.
